About Us

Farmers State Bank originated August 15, 1919 in Ambrose, North Dakota.  In 1934 the bank moved its location to Crosby.  Harold Hanisch bought out the other partners of the original bank in April of 1945 and the bank has been owned and operated by the Hanisch family ever since.  In 1966 a new bank building was completed and a paying and receiving station was put in Noonan, North Dakota.
 
Farmers State Bank is the only locally owned bank in Divide County with assets of over $43 million.  Since we make our decisions locally we have a fast turnaround of answers, and we can custom-tailor our services to meet the needs of our customers. 
 
Farmers State Bank continues to operate today with 12 employees to serve our community and customers with the trustworthy, prompt, and efficient service they deserve.
